Special Guests!

Leanne has been an advocate for Latex Allergies since she was diagnosed with a Latex Allergy at 14 years old.  She believes that awareness and education are key to saving the life of those with Latex Allergies.  This walk is Leanne's biggest project to educate her community about the severity of these allergies.

Leanne is a student at Binghamton University studying Economics and is applying to Law School.

In January 2012 Michele was awarded the title of Mrs. Suffolk County, NY, America. She is quoted to have said: "I am filled with both great pleasure and pride to represent the married women of Suffolk County at the Mrs. New York America Pageant."

Giving back through volunteerism and supporting both local and national non-profit organizations (such as: American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, ALS, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, Breast cancer Research Fund, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Foundation Fighting Blindness, just to name a few) is very important to Michele and it is a big part of her life. As Mrs. Suffolk County NY America, Michele has had the honor being a Spokesmodel for the American Cancer Sociey's Choose YOU! Movement. Honorary Co-Chair for the Foundation Fighting Blindness' 6th Annual Vision Walk Long Island, Member of the Planning Committe for Vision Walk Long Island, Team Leader for TEAM Mrs. Suffolk County at FFB's 6th Annual Vision Walk Long Island. Member of the Planning Committe for the ACS's Bark for Life Riverhead, Team Leader for TEAM Mrs. Suffolk County at the ACS's Bark for Life Riverhead. Team Leader for TEAM Mrs. Suffolk County at the ACS's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, Adult Volunteer with Kids Stock the House.

Michele is attending the American Latex Allergy Association, to support her Pageant Sister Leanne Pinard, Miss Long Island Teen 2010 to help raise awareness for this very serious allergy.

Catherine Manett is a graduate of Patchogue-Medford high school and is continuing her education in Spanish and Creative writing at Hofstra University. While in high school, Catherine was the Cadet Colonel of the Air Forced Reserved Officers Training Corp and the president of the Patchogue-Medford Youth Council. Catherine is also Miss Long Island Teen 2012. With her title, Catherine promoted adoption. She is a firm believer that every child deserves a loving and supportive family. She is also the creator of her own non- profit organization, Crafty Kids. Crafty Kids raises funds through candy sales in order to buy toys and gifts for children in hospitals and shelters such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Stony Brook Pediatric Oncology and Hematology and Little Flower Children and Family services of New York. Catherine enjoys acting and modeling and is currently signed with Connecticut Kids Talent Management. Catherine hopes to pursue her dreams of being both a writer and an actress.

I think it is important to raise awareness about allergies in our school systems and in our restaurants. By bringing to light the seriousness of allergies, we can save lives from anaphylaxis.

Jessica is a native of Long Island, raised in Manhasset by her parents Marie and Mitchell. Following in her mother’s career footsteps, Jessica is a graduate of both the University of Delaware and the fashion Institute of Technology; with degree’s in Fashion Merchandising. She currently lives in New York City, working at Ralph Lauren’s corporate office on the merchandising team for men’s footwear. Her most recent accomplishment is being crowned Miss Hudson Valley 2013 on September 2nd, 2012.
Jessica is an advocate for community service, volunteering throughout the community and speaking to the adolescent and young adult population about the importance of charitable work. She serves as the chairperson of the Young Professionals of AHRC Nassau, a leader for Sprout, a Ralph Lauren Volunteer, and is involved with numerous other charities. She is thrilled to attend the American Latex Allergy Association Walk to support her pageant sister Leanne and everyone affected by Latex Allergies. It is great that such an event exists to help raise awareness in our community of this serious allergy.

Sabrina Mastrangelo may only be 16, but after being crowned Miss New York Teen USA 2012, she is no stranger to the crown. Having recently been awarded the title of Miss Long Island Teen 2012, this high school junior truly considers the stage home. Sabrina is an active member in the International Thespian Society, her high school’s drama club and the School & Community Leadership Program. Some may call her personable and spunky but, when push comes to shove, being a fearless leader is the role she plays best. Having founded Teens United Long Island (TULI), she’s single-handedly leading the crusade to raise awareness about cyber bullying with a mission to become Long Island’s largest cause. Although there’s no telling what’s next on this dynamo’s agenda, you can be sure to find her spending her spare time shining on stage acting with such ease and versatility. Sabrina is also a natural behind the camera lens, modeling with such grace and elegance in preparation for a transition from stage to screen since she hopes to one day achieve anchorwoman or tv host status. You can find Sabrina on her YouTube channel talking frankly about what she likes best --- makeup, fashion and style.
Among all her hobbies and interests, Sabrina is a firm believer in giving back to the community and donates her time to charities that help the less fortunate by initiating her own fundraisers and volunteering where help is needed. Sabrina hopes to inspire her peers to reach beyond the stars and make a difference by doing good in our world. She feels that it is very important to bring awareness to the severity of latex allergies and is so happy to be a part of this event!
